The explore of Aldermaston Manor:

We’ve had this one pinned for a while — and what an explore it turned out to be.

After three busts earlier in the day, this was the first location we successfully accessed… and it was worth every setback. Huge thanks to MOD Dan 2 for capturing some incredible shots on this one.

We arrived just as darkness was setting in, completely unaware that security were active on site. As we approached, the medieval architecture immediately stopped us in our tracks. Even in fading light, the building looked imposing — centuries of history standing silently in front of us.

After around 20 minutes of searching, walking the perimeter and carefully navigating obstacles, we finally located a way inside… and the explore truly began.

There’s something surreal about stepping into a place that has witnessed generations come and go. Tucked away in the Berkshire countryside, this once-grand estate still carries a powerful presence — even in silence.

From the outside, the weathered stonework, broken windows, and ivy slowly reclaiming the structure show how nature is beginning to take control. You can almost imagine the people who once walked these grounds, attended gatherings, and filled the halls with life.

Inside feels like another world entirely. Long corridors remain frozen in time. Paint peels from ceilings, chandeliers hang quietly above, and vast rooms that once echoed with conversation now hold nothing but stillness. Even the staircase, worn but standing firm, hints at the elegance this manor once proudly displayed.

The estate is deeply connected to the history of the nearby village of Aldermaston, forming part of Berkshire’s wider heritage. Places like this aren’t just abandoned buildings — they’re fragments of local history slowly fading unless documented.

As always, we explored with respect:

Explores like this are exactly why I started — not for the thrill of entry, but to capture the atmosphere and preserve these spaces through photography before they disappear completely.

We Walked Straight In | The Abandoned Home of Holes Was Untouched

We explored the abandoned Home of Holes after it closed in December 2024, with the company later going into liquidation around May 2025.

This explore was absolutely wild. When we first arrived, we headed around the back of the building to see if there was any roof access or an open window left behind by the former owners. I jokingly said to Brummy, “Why are we even checking the back when the front doors look wide open?”

After about 15 minutes of checking the rear and finding no access at all, we decided to head back to the front. I said, “Brummy, check that door — it’s definitely open.” To our surprise, we walked straight in through the public entrance.

As we continued deeper into the building, it was clear the place had been abandoned and untouched since security last visited in July 2025.

Come and explore the dark corners of the Home of Holes — if these walls could talk, this place would be full of untold secrets.

What made this place stand out immediately was the fact the front door was left unlocked, and once inside it was clear the property had been completely untouched for years. Rooms frozen in time, personal items left behind, and an eerie atmosphere that made every step feel unsettling.

We document the condition of the building, the strange features that earned it its name, and the quiet decay taking over this forgotten home — all while following the urban exploration code: take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints.

⚠️ As always, we do not share locations and we do not encourage trespassing. Abandoned Worcester County Hall | Denied Access & Security Encounter

We set out to explore the abandoned Worcester County Hall, but not every explore goes to plan.

After checking the site and searching for a safe, legal way in, it quickly became clear there was no access to the building. Rather than force entry, we documented the exterior, the atmosphere, and the reality of urban exploring — because sometimes the story is about knowing when to walk away.

Just when we thought the explore was over, we were approached by security at the end of the visit, bringing the mission to an unexpected close.

Urban exploring isn’t always about what you get inside — it’s about the experience, the lessons, and respecting the locations we visit.
