We explored an small abandoned zoo, Small interactive zoo featuring which used to feature over 75 species of invertebrates & reptiles, with a souvenir shop. Founded in 2012, Bugtopia seeks to teach people about bugs in an interactive and hands-on way. In doing this, they hope to bat away some of the stigma associated with some of the world’s humbler of creatures. Bugtopia won an award in their first year for their effective and educational approach to their first meet and greet.
Their mission, in their words, is to achieve “Conservation through Education”, to teach the importance of preserving the biodiversity of our world, whilst allowing visitors to get up close and personal with their exhibitions! They specialised in invertebrates and reptiles. #DeeExplores

Rimstock LTD (Formally known as Rimstock PLC until 2017), based in West Bromwich, was a alloy wheel manufacture which was founded 22 January 1985. The 3 factories based in West Bromwich were closed down during 2023. The video of our explore is at the bottom of this post.
The biggets of the 3 factories (the one we explored) has Security, Dogs and an armadillo on site, we didnt notice this until we were nearly at the end of our explore when i look out the window and decided its time to go . Good job really as as we walked around the front of the building security were leaving the building and the dog was not in sight anymore, maybe looking for us.
From speaking with locals and ex-employees, it is believed that the company went into administration in 2023, but with further research the company is still showing as running on companies house.
Rimstock has been acquired by JKM Developers & Sarb Capital (A Joint Venture), a deal that will safeguard the wheel manufacturing industry in Britain and ensure the future growth and success of the company.
Headquartered at the centre of the UK’s automotive industry, Rimstock design, manufacture, and supply alloy wheels, worldwide, to more than 40 countries, and is Britain’s leading prestige wheel manufacturer.
Founded in 1985, Rimstock’s West Bromwich, UK base comprises state-of-the-art facilities, taking customers initial design concepts, through to manufacture and distribution.
Specialising in the design and production of cast and forged wheels, Rimstock are the only company in the UK to have full testing facilities available to them in-house. These facilities are certified to test to German TUV approval standards and indicates that its alloy wheels have been manufactured to a very high standard, which exceeds or equals that of the original equipment fitted to the vehicle.
In 2018, a new plant was fully commissioned on site, specialising in the manufacture of Forged alloy wheels, with multi-million-pound support from the UK Government’s Regional Growth Fund. Forged alloy wheels offer OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers) more complex designs – stronger yet lighter – and the result – Forged wheels being considerably lighter than Cast wheels – significantly improves vehicle breaking, handling and fuel economy.
Continued investment in innovative processes represents the futureproofing of Rimstock’s business and the evolution of alloy wheel manufacturing.
